Our goal is to provide free resources so help computer centers easily and effectively serve their communities. We are constantly working to provide more and better resources such as software and curriculum. We do not officially endorse any of the software we link to, but we are continually working to find the best software to share with you.
Starting a Computer Center
Am I Ready for Computers?- This document provides a self-test to take to see if your program is ready to handle a computer center. You should be able to answer "yes" to most of the questions before you move forward in starting a new computer center.
Equipment Needed to Start- This document provides a list of equipment needed to start a computer center.
Software To Install On Computers- A list of recommended software you may freely download and use on your computers. The list includes software such as anti-virus, and Office suite, graphics, and more.
Computer Rules- Feel free to print and post these rules around your computer center. Making the rules of a computer center clear to everyone will help ensure that people have a positive experience as well as making sure the computer stay healthy and running well.
