Volunteer

Volunteers are extremely important to our programs. We realize that in today's society, it's hard to make time to volunteer. Our system helps pair-up volunteers and organizations based on the amount of time the volunteer is willing to commit to and the needs of the organization. We have three tiers of volunteering that our opportunities generally fall under.

Three Volunteer Tiers for You

Tier 1 volunteers are a part of our Tech Support Message Boards. We are looking for tech-savvy individuals who are willing to monitor our tech support message boards which our organizations use to post questions. We request that our volunteers monitor the message boards on a regular basis and help provide technical assistance when needed.

Tier 2 volunteers are willing to offer their assistance on a project basis. For example, an organization might need help developing a website or a database. Another example might be an organization that needs someone to come in and add a couple of new computers to their network. These opportunities will usually involve a few hours of work and you will also often have the opportunities to visit the sites and see firsthand technology expanded through the city.

Tier 3 volunteers are those people willing to make a regular time commitment and teach computer classes on site at the programs. The direct impact that you will have on people's lives will surely be rewarding to you. We will work with you to set up a schedule that works best for you and the organization we will pair you with.
